We are currently working on other private insurances companies to expand our insurance network. Please give us a call to verify coverage with your insurance company.
We welcome self-referred patients (not referred by your doctor). The requirements of your Health Insurance Plan will determine if you need to obtain a referral to our office. Our staff may be able to determine this over the phone, but if you have any questions, it is best to contact your insurance company.
Your first appointment will be the initial consultation. A spirometry test may be performed in order to assess a baseline of your lung function. You will not be staying overnight in a sleep study center, nor would we do any kind of invasive procedures in the first visit.
Bring your Insurance Card, List of Medications, ID. We will spend time going over your symptoms and questions. From this and possibly a few preliminary tests we will determine the need for additional diagnostic tests, or make a recommendation for a treatment program for your condition.

A Hospital or Radiology Center will often forward a report, but in order to thoroughly evaluate your condition, our physician needs to view the actual images at the time of your visit. Upon your request, the Hospital’s Radiology Department or Radiology Center can provide it to you in a digital format (CD).

This depends on the nature of the test you had performed. At the time of your appointment your provider will tell you when and how to obtain test results. Often, results are discussed at a follow-up appointment. This allows time for discussion and for making a treatment plan.
Prescription refills and adjustments to your medications are best addressed at your next clinic visit. However, if you need to refill a prescription prior to your next appointment, please call us or your pharmacy. Please allow up to three business days for the review of your records.
If your insurance company does not approve the prescribed medication, we will send information to the insurance company stating the reason the initial prescribed medication is necessary and ask that an exception be made. Approval of the exception is not guaranteed and may take several weeks.

Our Board-Certified Pulmonary Medicine Specialist is trained to diagnose and treat the wide variety of lung conditions such asthma, bronchitis, lung cancer, acute and chronic respiratory failure, sarcoidosis, bronchiectesis, pulmonary hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), shortness of breath, and lung infections, sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, etc.
After four years of college, a Pulmonologist attends four years of medical school; in some countries it is combined in 8 years (medical school and college). Then, three years of Internal Medicine training, and another three years of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
