In the evaluation of Lung Masses, Nodules or other findings, and after a careful evaluation of your CT scan, we will inform you about the best approach to get a biopsy of your Lungs. It could be performed by Bronchoscopy, CT guided biopsy performed by a Radiologist or Open Lung Biopsy performed by a Chest Surgeon.

Thoracentesis is a procedure in which a needle is inserted into the pleural space between the lungs and the chest wall. This procedure is done to remove excess fluid, known as a pleural effusion, from the pleural space to help you breathe easier. It is commonly performed by a Radiologist in the Hospital.
